Tehran is not just a detective thriller, but is a story that descends in the layers of humanity, responsibility and personal sensation. Produced around Independence Day and produced by Madock Films and Beck My Cake Films, the film more than the noise of action rests on the silence and diplomatic complications of politics. Now it is available for streaming on Zee5 from today.
Film story
An innocent girl dies in a bomb blast in Delhi. For DCP Rajiv Kumar (John Abraham), this case is not just duty, but a mission related to personal pain. The clues lead them to Tehran, where the streak between friend and enemy becomes blurred. The story has both political tension and emotional connect, but in some places the transition of events is so fast that the layer connecting the viewer remains incomplete.

Acting in the film
John Abraham leaves a profound effect from his eyes and gesture. Dialogue less, more emotions. This is his calm and emotional performance. Some viewers may find this style as before.
Manushi Chillar has low screen time, but her presence shows human sensibilities in the story. Neeru Bajwa’s prudence and Hadi Khanjanpur’s acting story makes the stress of the story more real.

Directing and technical side of the film
Director Arun Gopalan has kept the film away from unnecessary appearances and introduced it in a balanced manner. The screenplay shows politics without heavy speech.
The camera work makes Delhi feel silent and Abu Dhabi’s silence. The background score increases story stress and editing is mostly tight.
The blueprint of the story looks like the first seen detective dramas in many places. The flow of some scenes suddenly changes. Despite being a thriller, the film does not fully reach its peak tension.
Why watch the film? If you are fond of sharp, spicy action, Tehran will feel slow, but if you prefer serious, forced thriller, this film can give a balanced and effective experience. And yes, now it is getting stream on Zee5 from today, then you can see it sitting at home.
