Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, appearing for Adhara and Kian, said in the court that after Sanjay Kapoor’s death, his will was never shown to the family and even the exercise of the will also admitted that he had received information about it a day before reading the will. The will was taught in a hurry at the Taj Hotel and many important information related to it such as trust deeds, hidden. This information was given by a person named Dinesh Aggarwal, who is an employee of the family. This made the suspicion deeper. Jethmalani also said that the circumstances of the will come out are very suspicious, which further increases the possibility of fraud.

Senior Advocate Rajiv Nair, who came from Sanjay Kapoor’s wife i.e. Adhara-Kasi’s step-mother Priya Kapoor, told the court that the case is not legally sustainable and there is no basis to pursue it.

Rani Kapoor wrote in her letter-

I am the wife of Dr. Rani Kapoor, former president of the company and the late Dr. Surinder Kapoor, founder of Sona Group and Founder of Sona Group. According to the will created by my late husband on 30.06.2015, I am the only beneficiary of his property and also the majority shareholder of the gold group including the company. As you know, on 12.06.2025, my son Mr. Sanjay Kapoor passed away in a sad and vague conditions in the United Kingdom. Despite receiving the information, I have not been able to find any relevant answers and documents about the incident.

All this happened in less than a month after the death of my only son.
