Attaching the Disc Drive

Removing the Disc Drive
The process of removing the disc drive is similar to attaching it. Start by turning off your PS5 and unplugging all cables. Let the console cool down before you start. Place the console with the bottom facing up and the front side facing you. Remove the horizontal stand feet (long) and the circle cover.
Lift up the concave part of the disc drive and remove it. Attach the circle cover, and then attach the feet (short). Connect the AC power cord and cables, and then turn on the power.
