Filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s new web series ‘Gandhi’ is to be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month, but he had trouble with visa just 10 days before the event.

On Wednesday, Hansal Mehta told that he and his team are still waiting for the Canada visa.

Seeking help on the social media platform x, he wrote, “Can anyone help for a visa in a Delhi -based Canadian High Commission? We are just 10 days away from our world premiere and have not got a visa yet. It has been almost 3 weeks since the passport.”

However, after this tweet, Hansal Mehta has finally received a Canada visa. On getting a visa today, he said, “Got a visa! Thank you all who contacted me and offered help.”

Please tell that some time ago Hansal also gave updates about the series. He had told that ‘Gandhi’ is the first Indian series to be selected in the prime time slot of TIFF.

Prateek Gandhi’s series ‘Gandhi’ has been produced by Applage Entertainment.
