Question- Was it expected that the film Saira and its songs would get such a huge success?

answer- I feel very good to see that Saira film, its title song, music, especially the film’s heroine has been liked by the public. When a film is liked all over the country, I think the entire film industry benefits from it and a new energy is communicated. It is a very good thing for Saira to be so hit. It is not intelligent to claim any other song or film that it will be a big hit, no matter how confident you are.

We knew that this song would be good for people, but it would become popular to such an extent, especially at the world level, we did not think so. The film is the first time in history, and it is very happy to know.

The film Saira is released on 18 July.

Question- Did you take care of the target audience while writing a song?

answer- Yes, of course. I took full care of the audience. When you write for the youth, who have just come out of teenage, their language and their words are different. Their language is not as deep as people of 30 or 40 years. Language is related to our age. As we grow up, our vocabulary and thinking changes. The kind of language and vocabulary I have used in Saira have been fully done keeping in mind the youth. It is a good thing that he liked it very much and adopted it.

Question- It is a common belief on today’s youth that they are confused about love and are not affected by the concept like ‘Pyaar of seven births’. Did you take these aspects in mind?

answer- I think the concept of ‘seven births’ is a theoric concept, there is no practical evidence. Today’s youth are challenging these theoretical things. They want to live in realism. If they like any relationship, it likes it. If it does not seem, it does not seem. Till 20-25 years ago, we also used to play relationships that we did not like. Today’s youth see their relationships in their true form. They do not want any false or highly imaginary thing. They need things close to reality. You cannot seduce them by saying the theoretical things like ‘Pyaar of Seven Births’.

Ahaan Pandey has made her Bollywood debut with Saira.

Question- Our old movies and songs were based on ‘birth births’. Is that time and today different?

answer- Yes, of course. The society changes every 10-15 years. The ‘seven births of love’ you are talking about, it was absolutely valid 30-45 years ago. At that time we were not as technically advanced (taxE) to talk to each other in real time. So the yearning was different for love. Or it is also the same to save what is barely found. Today’s youth wants to live in reality, and this change has come along with the society.

Question- Did Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda also give you any creative input that what kind of words should be in the song?

answer- When a story is fixed, a lot of things are fixed on their own. For example, if you keep your character age between 20 and 23 years, then their dressing sense, their thinking and way of talking are also decided accordingly. This is what happened in Saira. According to the story, it was decided that this film would have songs for young men. I think Saira’s best thing is that after a long time lip-link songs are returned. When the actor sings the songs themselves, he is able to connect more with the audience, and this is also clear in Saira’s success.

Question- Some of our big lyricists made many superhit songs with inspiration from the poetry of old poets like Ghalib. Do you also believe in such a genre?

answer- Yes, it is an established tradition in poetry. It is called ‘Sri Misra’. In this, his poetry is completed on a line of a famous poet. This is a valid way in both Hindi and Urdu poetry. This method is neither wrong nor correct, but it is an art. This also requires deep information and understanding so that the equal sense of the given ‘Misray’ can be brought.

Question- How did Saira’s title track become? Did you suddenly understand its line?

answer- The song was composed during the time when the title of the film was being finalized. Mohit Suri, who always makes very good musical films, wanted the title of the film to be the squeeze of the whole story. The placing of the song Saira was such that it was telling the essence of the entire film. Mohit sir felt that if the title of the film was brought here, then everything will be organized. I tried to bring that thinking to composition, and thus Saira’s title song became.

Question- If a song is viral on social media, is it a powerful tool of today?

answer- I think something can be identified for a short time on social media, can give you followers, but its stability depends only on your talent. Today, new songs keep coming every week, due to which old songs are forgotten in a while. But if your talent is true, it will remain for a long time.

The film Saira is the highest -grossing newcomer film.

Question- Is it right to make songs using AI?

answer- In today’s era, there are some apps that can help in making songs or tunes, but I do not think an app can prepare the entire song with just one idea. The feelings and depth in music and speech can bring only a human being. AI still has not been able to reach the level where he can understand human feelings and create the same music.
