Love in Vietnam Film Review | Film Review – ‘Love in Vietnam’: Avneet Kaur’s acting puts an impact, a movie postcard -like cinematography, but the story is not in depth

‘Love in Vietnam’ is a romantic drama in partnership with Bharat-Vietnam, directed by Rahat Kazmi. The film presents the story of beautiful locations, music and cross-related love, but the depth of the story and the development of characters are weak in some places.

Film story

Manav (Shantanu Maheshwari) is a young man from Punjab, who is trapped in the desire of his music and the expectations of the family. Her childhood friend Simmi (Avneet Kaur) is always with her, but the human life changes when she goes to Vietnam and collides with the girl Linh (Kha Nagan) seen in the painting there. Linh mysteriously comes into her life and then disappears. The heart of man gets entangled between Simmi and Linh and this is where the process of love, pain and search begins.

Acting in the film

Shantanu Maheshwari (human) – honest and easy acting, but some emotional scenes lack depth.

Avneet Kaur (Simmi) – good balance of innocence and dedication; His painful acting in the second part affects.

Kha Nagan (Linh) – Mysterious and attractive screen appearance, but the screenplay does not enhance them completely.

The film’s direction and technical aspects

Good – Vietnam’s beautiful scenes and locations have been brilliantly captured in camera. The film’s cinematography looks like postcard. Music (‘Fakira’, ‘Bade Din Hai’) gives the film emotional color.

Lacks of deficiencies – The story is estimated at many places, the first part slows down and the climax feels over in a hurry. Some auxiliary characters seem incomplete.
