Teja Sajj’s film ‘Mirai’ is such a confluence of Indian mythology and modern superhero templates that give a new experience to the audience on the big screen. The film is directed by Karthik Gattamaneni, 2 hours 49 minutes long and is impressed by its scale and visuals.
Film story
The roots of the story begin from the era of Emperor Ashoka. When he divided his powers into nine sacred texts, which have been raising the responsibility of protecting them for hundreds of years.
Ambika (Shriya Saran) is the protector of these texts and protects Mirai by sacrificing her life. His son Ved (Teja decoration) later becomes a super warrior, which has to protect these texts. Mahavir Lama (Manoj Kumar Manchu) stands in front of him, who wants to achieve these texts to get immortality.
Acting in the film
Teja is the life of the film. Every color from their innocence and emotions to action appears on screen. Manoj Kumar Manchu is influential as a villain and his screen presence is strong.

Teja Sajja plays the role of super warrior Ved in the film.
Ritika Nayak has given a touch of sentimentality and peace in the story, while Shriya Saran touches the heart as a symbol of sacrifice and mother’s love. Senior artists like Jagapathi Babu and Jairam have also strengthened the story with their presence.
Direction and technical aspects
Karthik Gattamaneni has a big vision. She has brilliantly introduced locations such as Himalayas, Banaras, Hyderabad, Japan, Tibet and Morocco, which gives the film an international feeling.
The level of action and martial arts is of international quality. However, the length of the film is disturbed and the screenplays are loose in many places. The scale of visuals affects, but some CGI scenes do not look effective as expected and even emotional parts are not able to make a deep grip every time.
Film music
The background score and songs of the film strengthen the story. The mixed style of native instruments and foreign rhythms gives height to many scenes.
Special Surprise and Sequel
At the end of the film, Rana Daggubati has a surprise entry, which clearly indicates that ‘Mirai’ is the beginning of a large cinematic universe. Rana’s character will add depth and mystery to the next story. This cliffhanger encourages the audience to the sequel.
Why watch this movie
If you like mythology and confluence of superhero films, then ‘Mirai’ is for you. Vishal scale, grand set design and strong performance of Teja decoration make it special. Yes, lengths and some weaknesses knock, but this experience on the big screen is worth watching.
