Jaswinder Bhalla was 65 years old and was ill for about a month. On August 20, he got a brain stroke and was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali. His condition deteriorated on the night of 21 August and he breathed his last at 4 am on 22 August.
He was cremated at the crematorium in Mohali. Punjab government ministers, UK MP Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi, former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, former MP and singer Hansraj Hansraj, BJP state head Sunil Jakhar and many artists and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
