When a film claims to touch issues like caste, love and rebellion, the audience goes to the theater with expectation of a depth. ‘Dhadak 2’ is also one such attempt, but it does not feel as powerful as it looks. Today the film has been released in theaters. The length of this film is 2 hours 7 minutes. Dainik Bhaskar has given the film a rating of 2 out of 5.

How is the story of the film?

The film tells the story of a boy who comes from the part of the society where the name is written before the name. On the other side is a girl, who has a habit of listening to her mind, but in the house where she comes, it is important to have more blood purification than the heart.

Initially the story seems adorned around love, but as the film moves forward, the truth of society starts showing its color. After the interval, the film tries to become a social statement completely, but she produces less noise and more confusion.

How is the acting of Starcast?

Siddhant Chaturvedi has caught both stagnation and anger in his role. His journey is clearly visible on the screen. A timid boy who learns to stand for himself with time. The character of Tripti Dimri is Layred, but there is no innocence in the chemistry between him and the principle that can make this story feel. Extra characters were not used properly in many places. Some scenes seem to be empty, like they should have something else.

How is the film direction and technical side?

The director’s intention is clear that he wanted to tell a sensitive story. But the problem is that he could not decide whether the film had to say heart or to the mind. The first half is slow, and the second half is sharp, but the hardness between the two remains weak.

The script sometimes gets out of the issues by touching the issues. Going deep into depth is hesitant. The result is that neither love touches the story, nor the social truth leaves any injury. The story wanders many times and romance seems incomplete with the lack of emotional depth. The climax of the film is also not as effective. Camera work is fine. Locations have good grip, but they are unable to give a new layer to the story.

How is the music of the film?

As soon as the name Dhadak comes, the ears start expecting a good soundtrack, but this time it is not heard. There are songs, but do not get into the heart. The background score works somewhere, but sometimes tries to bring more drama.

Final Wordict, see or not?

If you like social thrilpers and you are a fan of Siddhant Chaturvedi’s acting, then you can try once. But if you are looking for an innocent and painful love story like ‘Dhadak’, then this film will get away from your expectation. The purpose of ‘Dhadak 2’ was big, but the way to say was a bit entangled.
