Popular filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has recently reprimanded the dog lovers who are constantly opposing the Supreme Court’s decision. The filmmaker has said that if they really love dogs, they should keep them in their homes.
Ram Gopal Varma wrote from his official X (first Twitter) account, ‘Hello Dog Lovers, all of you are making noise of injustice for the Supreme Court order. But where were you when a four -year -old innocent child was brutally killed on the road in broad daylight? Similarly, every year thousands of people are victims of dog attacks. Where was your compassion at that time? Or is mercy limited to moving tails only, while dead children do not come under counting? ‘
He further wrote, ‘And yes, there is nothing wrong in loving dogs. I also love them. But love your dogs in your own homes, in your luxurious bungalows, in your chopped lawn. Keep your imported Labrador, your pedigree Huski, a high-creed pet purchased from your breeders and keep servants for them. But the truth is, the danger of dogs is not in your luxurious palaces. It is in roads and slums. It hovers in the same streets where poor live, where the children play barefoot, where there is no gate, nor any protection. While the rich caresses their glowing pets, the helpless people get their injured children treated and bury their innocents. ‘

Ram Gopal Varma further said in his post, ‘You talk about the rights of dogs. Ok. But what about the rights of children? Right to live. Parents have the right to see their child growing up. Do these rights disappear simply because you are loving dogs? Are these rights less than your photos with pet on your Instagram? Listen to this truth, if compassion is not balanced then it is injustice. If you really love dogs, then adopt, feed them, and keep them in your safe houses. Or demand a concrete solution from the government. But do not put the burden of your love on the streets, where it becomes the death of someone else’s child. ‘
At the end of his post, Ram Gopal Varma wrote, ‘The poor should not pay their children’s blood in exchange for the emotional urge of the rich. And understand this truth, a society that keeps the life of a stray dog above the child’s life, that society has already lost its humanity.
Let us tell you that on August 11, the Supreme Court has ordered that all stray dogs be removed from Delhi-NCR roads within 8 weeks. Many celebs are opposing the court’s decision after the order. These include many people including Janwahi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Malaika Arora, Saufi Chaudhary.
